Handmade Gifts
Handmade gifts are so meaningful. I love when people give me handmade gifts because I know they took time to think about it. They thought, "hmm, would she like this or that." That takes effort. I am very happy to present the headers on my post for the first time. A Steemit friend made these headers for me. I must say, for a person who has never met me in person, she did a wonderful job at making these. I think they are beautiful. Thank you @barbaarseevelien for the headers and thinking of me enough to make me something! In the last year I've been lucky to receive a few beautiful handmade gifts. I want to share a few more.
I shared this one before, but for Christmas a coworker made me this adorable snowman. It was so creative and cute. I plan on pulling it out every year!
One of the students I work with was really pleased with how much help she received from our college. She wanted to show a token of her appreciation. She made a few of us artwork with quotes on it. She asked me what my favorite quote was, but I told her it is hard for me to choose, but I love a lot of Bruce Lee's quotes. She made me this painting, and it hangs in my office and will follow me for rest of my career.
My brother-in-law makes my entire family calendars every year for Christmas with photos of my nephews and nieces that live here in North Carolina. I couldn't take a picture of our current calendar because it is in my office at work. I am currently on a medical leave. Instead I took a picture of the one he gave us for 2017. I really enjoy these calendars and photos of my nieces and nephews really brings me a lot of joy.
My husband found a casting kit a few months ago and surprised me with it. He made a mold of our hands with our wedding rings on. I was terrified it was going to damage my ring lol, he had to convince me to do it by saying he would buy me a new ring if it did damage it. I am glad I went through with doing it. He even painted it. This sits on display in our living room for everyone to see.
For Christmas, my sister printed all of the photos she took for my wedding and she put them in a really nice photo album for me. It was also one of my favorite Christmas gifts this past Christmas.
Handmade gifts are amazing, and usually my favorite kind of gift. @barbaarseevelien reminded me how much I love handmade gifts. And I will finish this post with the header that she gifted me, as I plan to use in many more of my Steemit posts!
Handmade gifts are very special because they add a personal touch that money just can't buy.

I am very happy you like it so much! I love the other gifts too. Especially the sculpture of your hands. It is a very sweet and lovely reminder of your love.
I have to admit I looked back at your photo's to see if I could figure out which colors you would like. It didn't give a clue so I made something I like in the hope you like it :)
I love the sculpture of our hands also. It was very sentimental. I think you did a great job at figuring out what I would like. The colors are great. I plan on using them on some of my posts throughout the time I'm on Steemit. Thank you again! :)

I love handmade gifts! I appreciate the effort and time that comes along with it. I also made handmade gifts. I love arts and crafts too!
I must agree, when people put time and effort into something, it seems to make it more special. I love art too! I don't get into it as much as I did in the past. I really think I like writing the most as a hobby.
