DEAR DIARY,

It was a memorable Saturday but was more stressful as I just wasted my day positively and negatively and ended up becoming so weak and immovable like a log of wood. Anyways, moments outshines what happens temporarily. Let me take you down to how I navigated my Saturday being the end of the month.

Morning Routine

When I hear of sanitation exercise I frown at it every bit because I'll have to do a lot of work in my village. It's always a bad and overstress day for me in particular. But guess what? This sanitation exercise wasn't anything stressful. I'll tell you. I woke up by 6Am and took up my phone to see the progress of my students on steemit. They were actually supported but I still glanced through to see how their posts were placed in terms of formatting, tags and title. After doing so, I took to doing meditation outside my compound to inhale that fresh breeze that surrounded the atmosphere.

After doing that for 15 minutes, I took to examining the scriptures with my family before doing house chores. The theme text read was applicable and self explanatory. We did pray together and thought over some scriptures carefully and how it applies to real life. I took to doing house chores before taking up the sanitation exercise of which my family were involved. We actually did this sanitation in our kingdom hall and not at home. This is what made it stress-free because sanitation at home is painstaking if I want to reiterate.

As a lover of nature, I appreciated it by capturing moments with it and also took a picture of myself drinking coconut water that early morning to give me some strength to do that exercise. The clouds were just so dutiful I must say as their being white and foamy took over the sky at dawn. It was steadily waving away to make way for the sun to take over. This is a clear picture of how dawn was that morning.

Sanitation Exercise

We left home for the hall by 7:30Am and arrived there in time to help clear grasses, clean the windows, sweep, weed out unwanted plants, fetch water to wash the hall and the likes. This work wasn't stressful as the fun and excitement was just there seeing people happily doing this work. My mind just reflected to how bored I would have been if I did it at home. While still working, refreshments came in and we were energised to do more not until the work ended. These are pictures of people I did sanitation with.

After the sanitation exercise, I took some pictures of the street and myself. I was energised and happy for the first time after doing sanitation. I sat under a shade comfortably with my friends and gulped down some soft drinks before leaving the hall for home. The sun's scourge took advantage of me, making me feel weak, discouraged and tired. I just had to zero down my mind and trek down to the tarred road before boarding a vehicle home. I started contemplating how I'll attend the traditional marriage of my friend under this hot sun.

Thoughts went through my mind as I contemplated sleeping and then wake up to steem on this platform or go to the marriage, rejoice with them and come back late feeling exhausted. I just had to take the latter since I was also in charge of food and drinks. I put on a light outfit that wouldn't make me feel tired or sweat from the sun's scourge. This is me on arriving the marriage venue. The atmosphere was spoilt with songs, aroma of food and joyous moments from all angles. A lot of people put our traditional attires and the colours of the day were red, blue, maroon and white. It was just so exciting seeing how our traditional is spotlighted.

I saw faces I've missed for weeks and months that day. I was just so excited about everything that happened that day. My crew and I started sharing good and drinks to attendees before the marriage proper since it was a traditional marriage which usually take place in the evening. The experience I had sharing these foods was the behaviour of some attendees who were struggling for food. Some challenged me saying if I don't give them 3 plates, I'll know who they really are. I just acted in discretion to avoid being on people's minds. The marriage cake was just so perfect, giving particular credit to the baker.

I had fun moments with my friends. We chatted, laughed and had beautiful memories together. We experienced a lot right from when the marriage started proper. The bride and groom were introduced and were led by traditional song of our culture. Love was just in the air as we were excited to see these newly wedded couples.

Sun set approached and we started leaving for home so night won't catch up on us. While we were walking down the streets on our way back, we still created crazy memories and moments. I just felt my dad wasn't wasted because I had moments with people that would last for a lifetime but still thought of not creating a content that day. I was pissed, exhausted and just tired. Words couldn't comprehend. Even as I tried creating a content, sleep took advantage of me. I just had to give in till the next day. That was how my day ended. What do you think about the diary? Was it actually a wasted day?
