The Diary Game || 11-06-24 || Promoting Steemit and Rewarding Students I Impacted

Dear Diary,

It was another day in the school I was posted to. I guess it was one of the best days that week because my happiness was on the next level. I can remember writing a diary game of how I impacted some set of students in a public school using the reward factor. I least expected this strategy would be so effective not until the narration I'm about giving in this post.

There's more to constructive discipline than destructive discipline. This reward strategy I used was to serve as a discipline, a motivation, encouragement and the likes. A little encouragement can bring out the real individual in a person. I saw that this day and I also promoted steemit.

Waking up with positive motivation was the greatest thing that could ever happen to me. I've been so busy these days that I barely sleep in time but I wake up in time, quite hilarious. People call me Boss because I've been;
B - Busy
O - Over
S - Someone's
S - Success

And this includes steemit mentorship of newbies, heart-to-heart talk with some of my digital skill students and the likes. I woke up that morning and motivated the Steemians I'm training not to lay their heads on the desk. They should be up and doing as consistency pays. The motivation did play out well and as I'm talking to you now, the less active then is the most active now.

I had my breakfast and did prepare for school so I won't be late. I boarded a vehicle as usual to my destination and when I got to the junction, I alighted and paid the usual. I got into the school premises with the complaints that they barely have time to attend classes as perfects because they are always seen controlling the whole school and organising some work. I told them how to best approach such situation and how to address it.

I met with my colleagues of which majority showed up. It was the best of time I could ever have with them. While sitting on this round table, I let the cat out of the bag with a question.....Is there's anyone that would be interested in content writing on a platform where visibility isn't a problem and you don't need a million followers before your contents can be noticed and appreciated the way it's done on Facebook..

Majority told me to expatiate and that's how I brought about steemit to their table. They called me a life saver and that they were actually looking for opportunities like this instead of being wasteful with their lives on schemes that are on probability. They told me to help them sign up next week when I come to school.

After promoting steemit to my colleagues and seeing the interest they had, I left for the class I was told to handle. This is the class I used the reward strategy on and guess what, I was shocked at the outcome. For the first time in that class everyone submitted an assignment I gave the previous day. I was also there to surprise those who surprised me with the quiz I gave them the previous day.

The least expected people I thought would ace the quiz actually smashed it. Only 5 people scored 4/5 and I rewarded them with 500 naira each.....

I then took pictures with them and encouraged those who didn't ace the quiz for another opportunity that would reach them and not just the 5 I called out. The class was quite for the first time. This is the impact of this reward factor. I've succeeded in spurring up these students to do better other than being dependent on the teachers for knowledge acquisition. I also succeeded in ensuring the class is always quite though they are not perfect at this.

The next task is to offer everyone a chance to express his or her understanding of a particular topic through group presentation. I've grouped the class into groups of 8 and I gave them topics to read on for a period of one week. Before they present these topics individually as a group, I'll explain all topics given them to their understanding so they'll have a good understanding of what they read.

This strategy really worked and I'll try using it down to the end of my stay there and see what result I'll produce.. There's this saying, don't judge a book by its cover. This is what I observed in these students. You bring out the individual from the student. This is how my day went though I did other activities that day which involved eating and then leaving for home.
