picture of me reading with an improvised form of electricity

It was a major trend on X that those responsible for handling electricity will account to God on judgement day because when God created everything, he said, "Let there's be light," but they are putting us in darkness for days, months, and even years. Disobedience of the highest order. Quite funny, though.

To be frank, it's not really as funny as was regarded because almost everything about life is dependent on electricity, aside from the luminaries created by our creator. Imagine you're not able to communicate, run online shopping, read academic books online, or even make money on Steemit because of a lack of electricity to power your device.

How would you feel? Life would be so meaningless and difficult without electricity. But sometimes I do ask myself how those in interior villages survive without electricity, yet life has meaning for them. This brings to mind the fact that if I grew up there, I would have adapted to the lifestyle, but no, I was born with electricity, and it's difficult to adjust when it's not available.

This content will answer basic questions like, In a world without electricity, how is it possible? If I grew up in areas where electricity is improvised with candles and lanterns, would I know electricity exists? If I was brought up in areas where there's sufficient electricity and was told to stay in a place where electricity is not seen but improvised, would I?

How would your daily life and work life be without electricity from now on?

Let us know that electricity is not exclusive to light alone, though it is the backbone of light. Electricity serves as a power or boost to a lot of things, mechanically, academically, physically, socially, and economically. My life revolves around these aspects, and if electricity is taken off, I will still survive, but my life would be difficult and miserable.

PXL_20240718_223446491.PORTRAIT.jpg

How? Let me start with my daily work. I'm a student, and the online time I read is at night, when darkness is covered. Without electricity to power my reading lamp or my phone, reading would be difficult, as I'd have to improvise using a candle or a lantern, which can be detrimental to one's sight.

I work mostly online, and I can't do this without my phone being charged, which can only be possible with the aid of electricity. Even the solar that is replaceable with electricity has its origins in electricity, and it wouldn't function without the electricity used in its creation. This can be seen in the picture above, where I'm finding it difficult to read properly because of a lack of electricity.

PXL_20240718_223715903.PORTRAIT.jpg

My daily and social life would be affected, including communication, as everything that technology has made easy revolves around electricity. Without electricity to power all these, we would go back to the crude days and tools, as shown in the picture below.

What kind of equipment would be required to live a hassle-free life?

A hassle-free life is one that's not complicated and difficult as a result of factors that tend to be a thorn in the flesh. I'll be spotlighting some equipment that would be used to live a hassle-free life. Using crude tools to improvise electricity can make life difficult for someone who grew up in the city.

Those who grew up in rural areas and are still there are more likely to use crude tools as they don't have funds to buy electricity. They use tools like candles, oil lamps, lanterns, fireflies, etc. to do a lot of work at night.

PXL_20240203_175405560.RESTORED.jpgDifficult life without the use of electricity

Thankfully, during the day, our creator has made light available to be used to see things. He has made the sun and moon shine during the day and at night, but this doesn't replace electricity.

Equipment needed is energy-efficient lamps aided by electricity, electric cookers to serve the cost of buying gas or kerosene to cook during the day and at night, and electricity at homes, businesses, and schools to serve the cost of purchasing fuel to power the house, as well as electricity to power phones and gadgets for use. Electricity makes life easier for us.

I wonder how we would be on Steemit without our phones being charged with electricity. Most of us run businesses online with our mobile devices, and even communication is made possible with electricity. So we can see how difficult, though not impossible, it is to live without electricity.

PXL_20240616_182629857.PORTRAIT.jpg

We have lived such lives and have been brought to light. It would be impossible to go back to such a life, as most of us can't adapt to changing situations, especially when it involves our businesses.

Would you be able to cope with life without electricity?

Personally, I don't think I'll be able to cope without electricity, as my financial life, social life, spiritual life, economic life, and physical life are all made easy with electricity, and depriving me of electricity would mean a total shutdown of all these factors, making life a miserable one for me. Anyway, there's always room to adapt, but the adaptation must not deprive me of improvised things that can provide electricity.

Those in rural areas may not really see the importance of electricity, as they have been used to that life for a long time. If I were born and brought up in the village, I would probably be used to living without electricity. Electricity doesn't give me life but adds value to my life on earth in almost everything.

PXL_20240718_223422464.PORTRAIT.jpg

So just as lack of electricity brings about darkness at night and nonfunctional activities during the day, life would be dark and nonfunctional for me without electricity, except I'd have to adjust my way of life, which would make life difficult for me. I invite @artist1111, @ciru2014 and @xkool24

Especially in this parts of Africa, electricity has been a major issue. Lack of electricity can really be painful as almost every faucet of our life is affected. Your image inspiration and content writing is very admirable. Kudos and good luck to you @bossj3 on this one.

Greetings my friend ,

It's amazing and indeed the struggle without electricity! The part where you mentioned using a candle to read at night made me chuckle 😂. Imagining life reverting to such primitive ways is tough, but your perspective is eye-opening 😮.

Very absurd kind of reverted life. Reasons why I can't operate without electricity. Thank you friend for your comment

After seeing your thumbnail, I remembered the movie: the conjuring. I can refined it to be The Conjuring: NEPA asked me to do so🤣. In the world where electricity has become the norm, it can degrade some people's life as their activities are dependent on it. As we know, if electricity isn't available, we should have an alternative power source. Good luck on your entry.

You're very much right. This is the case in Nigeria especially some states like the one I'm currently dwelling. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

You can imagine other African countries calling us Generator republic just because of the unstable supply of Electricity across various parts of the country.
We've learned to adapt to various situations in this country. This isn't a new one...
But the issue really needs to be looked into.

I haven't learnt to adapt it because there's no blackout of electricity. I wonder if this is the case. Anyways, thanks for commenting on my post

@bossj23
The picture of you reading with the best form of electricity is really wonderful. You are reading by lighting a candle and there is no doubt that our life is not possible without electricity. In earlier times when there was no electricity, people lived. But today, our daily needs require electricity for everything from car to mobile charging, laptop and washing machine.

You're right. The world is revolutionizing technologically and this is how far humans are some much dependent on electricity. Even those in interior villages need electricity to process their oil through oil mills. Thanks a lot. I really appreciate your comment on my post.
