Today, I'm reviewing an American Pale Ale called Lucky Jack from the brewery Lervig. It's their flagship pale ale, one of Lervig's best selling products. Malts in this beer: Pilsner and Caramalt. Hops: Chinook, Amarillo and Citra.
Description of the beer: "An unfiltered & unpasteurised APA from the west coast of Norway. Brewed with Amarillo, Chinook and Citra Hops. Although the hops are the dominating flavour and aroma, the beer is easy drinking due to its light body from the pale malts and caramel malt. It offers a golden colour with 45 IBUs, grapefruit, tropical fruit and floral hoppy flavours & aromas."
Appearance: hazy orange color, with a medium white head.
Smell: citrus, grapefruit, hints of caramel.
Mouthfeel: medium body, medium carbonation.
Taste: tropical fruits, some caramel, quite dry with a hoppy finish.
Verdict: Very easy to drink, perfect beer on a hot summer day. It's a very well-balanced beer, great combination of malts and hops. Actually, it reminds me a little bit of Punk IPA from the brewery Brewdog.
I like the artwork on the can, suits well for a beer coming from Norway. Overall, I think it's a solid beer, but nothing special. I will give it a rating 3.25 out of 5.

It is neat to see American ipas popular not just in North America though they make the distinction here whether they are west coast, New England, or other styles of apa.
Anything that tastes like Punk IPA is damn good with me and quite an endorsement.
I am putting up my #beersaturday post in the next couple hours from within the beer store. You will see a hundred different brands you will have never heard of from small breweries.
