How Do You Teach Teens?

Many of us admit that teaching teens is not an easy task. Because most of them behave like boiling water, it makes bubbles and too hot to touch, so do the teens - easy to loose concentration and skeptical , when you try to warn them, they easily get angry or ignore your class.Not all of them, but some to most.Some others are smart and they will challenge your knowledge.
How do you teach teens for good perfomance?
We are going to answer the question by showing both wrong and right way.
The wrong way of teaching teens.
Teens always measuring teachers to be on their favour.
During a class , one can make a joke! Do you agree with that? If yes on the next class will have more jokes.
In the middle of the class, one will not concentrate ,they may play or start a little fight! Are you ok with that ?if yes, Next day you will have more of that.
You will meet class game changers, who fear no one , and want to you to keep their status or else they will do something to ruin the whole class .
Do you agree? If yes , next day they behave as if they are fellow teachers, you wont tell them anything.
Finally you will teach the way they want you to do and not what you want them to do. This is wrong way. They will not perform well.
The right way of teaching teens.
Once you are assigned to teach the teens, you must empower your skills , methods and teaching techniques. Teens like the smarter teach than them.It is advised not to take a teen class if you are not good at that subject or lack of confidence or cant observe your class rules.
You can follow the following steps after you have empowered yourself and ready to start the class.
Know your student faster and better than and before they know you better. Here start with numbers of students in the class, and their health conditions to see if there is any student who got certain health care or condition. This will help you to treat them well accordingly.Also try as hard as you can to meet with parents of each student in your class. These will keep them calm and more concentrate knowing that you are very serious and careful about them and their performance. All this can be done within first month to second month of your class.
Make rules , be energetic during the class, stare each one of them. Measure their concentration and understanding by questioning them alot, call them by their names when you instruct them,Dont give space to play around and make jokes.
- After the question and answer session finished, give them two minutes , ask them , who can read us a poem? Who got beautiful joke today? Who can sing for us today? You praise, smile ,grab your things and go out.This make the learn the difference when you want them to pay attention for the class and when you want them to have fun. They will also learn that you are not too hard for them but you want them to work hard.
If you do well , they will also do well. They will get this messege in their mind - You are their best teacher and friend!
