The dog - and the human - stayed at the hotel with us. I met both the next day and, of course, scratched the dog. And yes, I feel very bad about doing a poor job of social isolation - but how much can you socially isolate in a busy border town or on an airplane? Not that that is an excuse.

The dog clearly has his priorities right - food, love and serving his human. He was perfectly calm and happy, and the crisis rehashing the whole world seemed to barely have any effect on him. He clearly intends to just keep on guiding his human.

Makes you wonder if there is a guide dog to help us find a way out of this unholy mess.
