My Road to Glory - Results of commenting for 3 hours!
This post series is about my life and will be written like my logbook. I will tell you everyday what I am do and why I do it. I do not write it for money, but for motivating myself every day to achieve my goals. I keep it as transparent as possible because I do not want to fail or embarass myself in front of all SteemIt-Users. Nobody likes it to fail and this logbook will prevent me from being lazy or lacking motivation. It will push me to continue with my hard work and get things done. Selfimprovement is the keyword and I will do it every day!
How my day went
After a long night behind the desk and little sleep I delivered my university stuff and went out with 88%, which I am very satisfied with. The lack of sleep has nevertheless been aggravating me throughout the day.
I then sat down at SteemIt and started a small experiment: How much can I earn if I only read and comment posts for 3 hours? I prevailed as at the desk and first worked my way through the trending posts and then through hot. Afterwards I went through the tags motorcycle and gymnastics (my niches), followed by cryptocurrency and witnesses.
Reading it took a lot of time, because the posts in trending were quite long. @Jerrybanfield was the winner of the day with 6600 words..... just respect.... the longest post I have seen at SteemIt so far!
Looking soberly, I've only earned one Steem dollar so far. The yield is much smaller than expected. I guess my tactics weren't the best. I've seen on my way some people with a smaller reputation who have scratched together up to $10 in upvotes; so it is definitely possible. I was a bit disappointed.
From a financial point of view, the experiment was not worth it, but I learned a lot about SteemIt and other topics and had a nice chat with some people in the comments. Many thanks to

Afterwards I went to the gym to do my upper body workout. As always, it went well without complications. Afterwards take a shower, eat and sit back at SteemIt and read more. My post about becoming successful at SteemIt made it to the Daily Qurator: Thank you very much!
After this post I will spend some time on SteemIt and then go to bed early, because tomorrow will be a full day again.

Here you can see my goals and their current status, which I will definitely achieve this year. If I reach them faster they will be added later. Always remember that, “Standing still is a step backwards!”
Be like a shark - not only dreaded and dangerous, but always aware that when you stand still you can no longer breathe, and you die. Stay motivated, work hard, be persistent, and you will achieve your goals. Hard work overrides talent. Keep that in mind!

I put myself as an example: I published a post 4 hours ago and I just have collected $0.90 and it's OK because I'm also still learning how to engage people with my posts. It's a matter of perseverance and engaging with people.

Thank you for sharing your results. I have thought about bingeing on content I like & leaving comments, but also factored in timing and familiarity/consistency. It's easier to get replies & up votes from users that constantly see you commenting on their works.
Now I wonder is it more profitable to use 3 hours (3-10mins reviewing the content, 2-3mins replying) commenting on 1 users content instead of the masses. 🤔
I would recommend you to always comment the posts you like with a comment of high quality. Expecially from a person you are following and posts interesting stuff you like. The bond between you is getting stronger and maybe a friendship will be formed.

I've already signed up for Steemfollower but is Steemengine better? Sometimes even after upvoting on steemfollower I don't receive any upvotes in return.
How is it in Steemengine? Do we get 100% upvotes back?
They work both for me. Never had problems.
To get upvotes at Steemfollower you need to upvote 5 posts a day at the Steemfollower "Manual curation" section.
The big advantage of SteemEngine are the follower-section. You can follow 15 people there, and you will get 15 follower back. I highly recommend you to open all the profiles you followed and look, if they have good content that is interesting to you or not. If not, unfollow them again, because they just spam your feed.
