When a pole dancer goes outside…
I’ve been pole dancing for about 5 years now and I freaking love it! When I was younger I used to do gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics. But when I grew older it was time for something else. After two years of plain boring fitness, I found a pole dance studio in my town! After my first lesson I was hooked.
This is me doing a move called 'Iron X'.
There is this thing that pole dancers do. We (pole dancers) not only talk about and do pole dance within our training hours, we live it! All we do is getting inspiration for new pole moves, thinking about awesome combination that we could do, tag everyone we know in all pole moves we find on Instagram and Facebook. When you start pole dancing, it is not just pole dancing. You get to know others who share your passion, because you either absolutely love it or you don’t. So you’re not only making friends who also pole dance, no, you belong to the ‘pole family’. A family where everyone is welcome and where everyone is happy for each other when you learn new moves (that is my short version of how I feel about the pole family).
So if you live pole dance and you need to go outside, you can only imagine that all we pole dancers do, is checking for pole dance opportunities haha. Road signs, playgrounds, big fences, you name it, nothing is safe for us!
When I was walking in my town yesterday, I found this new awesome playground with all cool materials (not actual playground things and still they made a great playground out of it). And there it was, a real fireman’s pole! Of course I had to take a picture.
If you also want to belong to the pole family, then you might enjoy reading another one of my posts about why you should pole dance. Maybe you’ll get some inspiration out of it.
