Delaware Fishing - The dreaded Chain Pickerel

Caught this chain pickerel a week before the next picture...

The first picture was a 6lb chain pickerel and the second picture was a 4-pound chain pickerel... I wanted to post the nine pound one I had but I can't find the pictures so I think they're on my brother-in-law's phone and when I get them I'll post the pictures and the video... Was the best fight I've had in a long time! Delaware fishing doesn't have a lot of variation on the bigger fish but it's still fun! I don't know if you noticed or not but these fish have a mouth full of teeth... I called them, they are an invasive species that heat everything else... The only thing worse in this area is the northern snakehead, a fish that it is illegal to throw back once you catch it. If you catch a northern Snakehead in the state you get a $500 fine if they catch you throwing it back in the water so you have to kill it or eat it... Can't wait to catch one! And warning if you plan on fishing the Delaware a lot of ways... There is also a legend of a fabled fish called The Claw Bass! You'll hear more about that in future fishing posts! You've been warned!
