Power up Post: Powering Up 40 STEEM

The steemit ecosystem is based on receiving and giving back to the ecosystem to enrich it, and also prosper it, I am here to do the obvious and also show you how it’s done. Today I powered up 40 STEEM into my steemit account.

Power Up Process

• The first step is to visit your wallet by clicking on the option wallet under your Profile. This is where it would lead you to 👇🏾

As you see on the picture my account balance is 40.007 STEEM.

• The next step I clicked on the STEEM balance then a roll down of options showed from them I chosed the Power Up option.

After choosing the Power up option the next step followed which is the most crucial because it involves determining the amount of STEEM you want to Power up and inputting your active key to confirm the process.

• this is the stage where I input the amount of STEEM I want to Power Up which was all my 40 STEEM of course.

From here I went next to using my active key to confirm my power up process. This brings my Power up to an end and you notice the change on your wallet page with an increase in your SP and reducing my STEEM balance to zero.

This brings my Power up post to an end. From here I’ll list a few reasons why we should do Power up;

• This is to ensure security of your Steemit assets since when your Steem is locked away it is difficult to retrieve (Getting just 1/4 of the total every 7 days from the day you powered down)

• To join club status, we have 3 club status which gives us better earning opportunities such as (steemcurator votes)when we create posts. These includes club5050, club75, club100, I’m currently in club75.

• For curation rewards since the steemit ecosystem is all about giving and receiving, when you give more to the system you obviously receive more rewards when you vote on other posts based on your SP.
