Fresh Air Window Rain Guard
How many times have you wanted to leave the windows open at home to enjoy fresh air but incoming rain or potential rain forecast overnight prevented you from doing that? Well, there is no more worries of a wet carpet or ruined flooring from the rain water blowing in through your windows at home or garage or any outdoor buildings.
The photos illustrate a small home made version of this invention just to convey the idea, obviously the actual product will fit the exact width of each window. Unlike outdoor shutters, this product is portable and is simply placed in the window sill from the inside. No tools needed!
How does your idea solve this problem?
How do you enjoy the fresh breeze of air while blocking the entrance of rain water through an open window? This Rain Guard is portable, and is easily placed and removed from the inside of the house as needed! There is not any installation required. I have a few design ideas for a device to allow fresh air in your house through the window while preventing the entrance of rain water. Simply lift the window panel up and place the Rain Guard in the open space and keep it snug in place by lowering the window panel down to the U shape brace on top of the Rain Guard.
Please see the photos where the Rain Guard was made with simple materials at home for the purpose of illustrating my invention. Two different designs that allow fresh air in while blocking the rain were submitted for your view. The Rain Guard is made to fit the width of the window, but an expandable design can be used to fit multiple window sizes. It can be made as seen in the photo from sturdy plastic material in a window blind format slanted downward within its box. Alternatively, the Rain Guard can be made of plexi-glass panels that overlap each other to allow air but not rain water through. Plexi-glass panels can overlap either vertically or horizontally to block the rain water while allowing the fresh air breeze to go through.
