30 Days of Practice, Day 2

Highest note sung today at speech level: tenor high C.

Today, I noticed that the main obstacle I have experienced to enjoying my practice, is my practice of entertaining demeaning and unpleasant thoughts about myself and my musicianship. I have noticed that I must not indulge these thoughts in the way that makes me recoil, because this ends practicing. I have noticed that when I maintain my promise to myself that I am enjoying practice, this keeps my way of practicing, and my way of being with my thoughts, in good order!
