Frozen sunset

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 months ago

I remember being on the shore of the Gulf of Finland several years ago in spring. The sun was already beginning to dip below the horizon, spilling incredible shades from bright orange to deep blue across the sky. Especially impressive were these huge, dark ice hummocks in the foreground. They looked like ancient, frozen mountains. You could feel winter reluctantly retreating, giving way to spring, but still holding its ground firmly, especially in the form of these ice blocks. The air was filled with freshness, and the silence was so profound that you could hear the ice crackling somewhere in the distance, almost like a living organism. Every time I look at this shot, I return to that amazing state between two seasons when nature freezes in anticipation.

I love photography. I spend time in nature, walking around the city. And I often take pictures when I see something interesting.

I always edit my pictures (mostly using Lightroom) and love sharing them with the community.

And here you can see some of my works, that you can find in my blog

What a beautifully written moment! ❄️ The way you described the frozen sunset at the Gulf of Finland really brings the scene to life—the contrast between the warm sky and those cold, rugged ice formations sounds magical.
I especially loved the idea of nature being “between two seasons,” like everything is paused for a second. Your words and photography together create such a peaceful yet powerful atmosphere. Truly captivating! 📸✨

Thank you so much! I appreciate your thoughtful feedback on both the words and the photos!
