I Can Do All Things

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phillipians 4:13

I saw this reverence on a NHL players hockey stick. When I saw it I asked myself can a belief in Christ help you score goals? Sometimes it is a miracle that the puck goes in. One time an announcer explained one of these miracle shots by stating that the puck had eyes. I am more likely to believe miracles rather than believe that pucks have eyes or the cognitive ability to act on their own.

I ran accross this quote that may explain how Christ strengthens us. "Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can. He can deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, and pour out peace. President Ezra Taft Benson later explained that, "The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature. Ezra Taft Benson"

If a person turns their life over to God will it give them more confidence? Even to the point they can have strength in their muscles, quicken their mind, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, and pour out peace?

I believe so.
