This is a feature that I've always wanted to see, ever since joining steemit, and discovering that it couldn't be done.

Seems like it’s another feature allowed by the blockchain but disabled by the frontend (Steemit.com). After searching on google I’ve found out that it’s also doable using SteemConnect for those not using Partiko:

Talking about Partiko, have you noticed you can now redeem points for upvotes?
I had a look at that, I havent yet made a post from Partiko yet though, thus far have only used it to comment and upvote. I may have to write a blog, to checkout that feature, cheers.

Hell yea! I didn’t even realize it, thanks for pointing it out. Really enjoy using Partiko, good feel to it..... I am surprised that an app was able to negate the restriction.

That is a cool idea and what I have done in the past, is when I use someone's advice or artwork, I would then go to a more recent post and upvote to show them my appreciation
And now you can resteem, that's great :)

What I do is, comment on the post, then when the author replies, i can upvote that.
