Silver Saturday Mail Call - Another Day, Another Ounce
Happy #silversaturday!!
Last night I found one of those post office "you have a delivery" notes in the post box, but this time it was addressed to me! Yes!! It could only be one of two things: a silver coin, or another silver coin.... WINNING!!!
Can you recognise what it is?
You see, last week I had an ebay voucher burning a hole in my proverbial pocket, which was about to expire, and so I decided to make it worth it by using it to get me some discounted silverware. This morning it was off to the post office to pick up my first purchase, which turned out to be my second...
I've been seeing these coins being flashed up and shown off all over #steemsilvergold, and it was about time I got one of my own to add to my stack. It just so happened that there was one on auction on ebay, which I could bid on and then use my discount voucher to get it even cheaper. I waited until the very last minute to snipe it for $29 AUD plus shipping, which was $6 registered mail. $35 AUD is not bad, I think, for an ounce of silver like this delivered, when it goes for about $25 USD plus shipping normally. Take my $10 voucher into play, and BOOM!!!! $25 AUD delivered!! That's only $4 above spot, so no complaints there!!
So what is it?
This is my first Libertad. A 1985 1oz .999 silver beauty. Not very rare with a mintage of 2,017,000 , but hugely popular to bullion collectors and investors alike. This is the treasure of Casa de Moneda de Mexico, the oldest mint in North America, dating back to 1535.
May this be the first of many Libertads in my collection. Perhaps I will get one from every year eventually. We'll have to see how we go, but that's not a bad long term goal.
I can hardly wait for my next package to arrive!!
Happy #silversaturday!!

For a moment I thought it was the gold centenario but that would be more than an ounce. :)
And it would be gold... wouldn't momind one of those too... but a bit rich for me for now.
Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold
