Steemit gave me the motivation to get my feet wet in crypto.

Unlike you, I don't view the Steem dollars as an income stream, so far, I've been thinking of it more in the terms of like the score in a video game. It's about the only way I can think about it without getting depressed at how much effort for the minimal rewards I see. (I'm ok with not being super popular; I'm a noob, no investment, not a great writer, and not very active on steem)
