Thanks, this post scratches at the surface of some of the issues.

While, I have no qualms about authors getting the majority of the rewards, and people who are simply finding and curating these posts for quality have the easy work of browsing.

The issue of bots is so massive that I am still somewhat shocked that the owners had thought that this would be a productive venture. This essentially allows people to draw profits that should ultimately be distributed for maintenance and expansion of the platform.

Really; when we are calling the process "proof of brain", there needs to be a bit more of a "test" of a brain than "oh, this post will be profitable if I like it"

I don't have the metrics; however, I would wager that a large segment of users go through and build up a feed, and then once that gets established probably don't bother looking at the new posts very often.
