DIY Christmas Candy Ornaments

With Christmas coming up in a few days why not add some sweetness to your Christmas tree? Not only will you be decorating the tree but you'll be adding edibles to it too!

Here's what you'll need:

  1. metal cookie cutter of your choice
  2. any hard candy
  3. parchment paper
  4. toothpick
  5. ornament hangers or ribbon
  6. cooking spray
  7. baking tray

Preheat the oven to 300F. Get the cookie cutters and spray them with cooking spray so that the candy doesn't stick to them then line the baking tray with parchment paper. Place the cookie cutters onto the tray and put as much candy as you can in them.

Place the candies in the oven and leave them in there for 3-5 minutes or until it's all melted. Once they are melted remove them from the oven. While they are melted poke a hole in them with a toothpick and rotate gently so that the hole gets bigger. Set the candy aside to harden and become cool enough to handle. Once it's cool enough, you can put in your ribbon or ornament hanger and place them on your Christmas tree! Easy as that!
