Some Pictures And Opinions About The City

We can be travelers in our own city. Every time I walk around town I discover something new. Everyone can do this, just pay attention to details!

A large square, right in the center of the city, is the place to go when you cross the city. You can't avoid it! An unpleasant problem I have, the need for a dentist, makes me go several times a week through this square, Unirii Square.The city is Bucharest from Romania.

Now I saw two things that caught my attention ...

First of all, I found that we became more patriotic! There was a big flag that reminds us that we are ... Romanians. It seems to me a good idea, many of us have lost patriotic feelings during communism, when the homeland was confused with the Communist Party. And we didn't really love the Communist Party.

Also, it must be said that young people would also need to remember that they are Romanians. Because they think more about leaving the country!

Also here, through this square, a river passes, the Dambovita river. I mean what was left of him, because he was captured and changed the course through some not very beautiful channels.

Fortunately, in this area the river looks very good, has been enlarged and looks like a small lake. So far nothing special. The spectacular part is that this small lake is full of seagulls, sea bass and ducks!

I like enormously as wild birds have chosen to live in the city.

It seems to me that they bring not only beauty to the city but also the confidence that in the future we may live better together, with more respect for nature.

I understand that not love for people and cars brings wild birds to cities (this situation is in almost every city in the world), first of all the search for food is the cause. In the populated cities, where there is a lot of food, the birds find food easier and this makes them leave the sea and the lakes where they have lived until now.

I also made a short video with the birds. You can see how they fly and look for food. The food that is brought by some animal lovers. The particularly hot winter is also a help for these birds to survive.

I hope that with spring a large part of these birds return to their traditional areas of life. I know that they will not all leave, there are a few left to enjoy their beauty.

I once initiated a challenge called SAM. Something About Me. I thought it was good for our readers to know more about us and to understand better what we are posting. Well, SAM is dead but I still think it would be in everyone's interest to get to know each other better. This is the reason for the short presentation below!
