Habits Changed by Covid-19. Walking ... by Car.

Suddenly my habits are changing, I have to change them. Not that I wanted that. The challenges with which we start this new year compel us. Covid-19 pandemic. The problems facing Steemit and the Hive promise.

I find it very interesting that the major, global crisis of coronavirus overlaps with the small crisis in our small world, Steemit! It seems a good thing to me because many of us who are now forced to stay home to avoid coronavirus infection may have more time to learn about and understand the Steemit crisis.

There is a lot of information, sometimes contradictory, and it is good to try to choose the right path, to make the choices knowing the cause.

I'm glad I got to this moment in Steemit. Maybe I'm unconscious, maybe everything will collapse and the expected change and migration will not give good results but I'm glad something major is happening. An earthquake that can kill us but can also release a lot of energy and enthusiasm, which have been lacking so far.

This is a lot of writing and writing so I want to get back to my habits now changed by the small, very small but very fast virus.

Walking has become a necessity at my age, the need for movement and the recommendation of doctors. For this reason, we have transformed any ride into a walk.

On Wednesday, every Wednesday I have to go to a dental office. Very far from my house. Well, this distance I traveled by public transport and on foot.

Now the little virus forces me to change that. To avoid contact with many people and thus the danger of getting infected, I now have to go to the dentist with my car. That means I'm not walking anymore.

For the first time, I will tell you about a ride by car. My #wednesdaywalk will be by car and I hope @tattoodjay won't be surprised by this choice.

I guess you think I will try to show you what the city looks like, in the part where I go, in times of pandemic. That is right!

The streets are deserted by people but cars are many. Probably everyone is trying to protect themselves by avoiding public transportation.

A new appearance in the landscape. The man with the mask! I'll try to show you a few, now I saw in the rearview mirror the car. I wear the mask in the car, which I think is pointless. An enlarged image through the crop.

Spring has occupied the city. It can be seen everywhere. The trees have blossomed. I've been waiting for this for a long time.

Immediately next to the clinic is a mall. A small mall is the first one that was built in Bucharest, almost thirty years ago. In fact, a large grocery store has been transformed into a mall.

One of the main features of the malls is ... the crowd. Now it is not! The first consequence of the unseen presence of the small virus is that humans have almost disappeared.

The few who are still in the mall are wearing the mask, of course.

I go to the mall especially for coffee shops. Now I have come for nothing, they are already closed. In Romania, the state of emergency was decreed and it was decided that the restaurants, bars, and cafes would be closed for a period of one month.

Nearly empty parking says it all. It was usually difficult to find a vacant place.

I left the car in the mall parking lot and crossed to the dental clinic. The boulevard has a tram line through it. They planted grass between the lines, I really like that.

Finally the clinic. A place where I do not go with pleasure, especially because I pay a lot of money for them to torment me ...

Again I meet this new street fashion. Face mask. A new crop for better observation.

In the elevator to the fifth floor. I have time to take a picture through the mirror. I want to remember my face when I think about the "pleasure" of meeting the dentist!

The wait is long. In the clinic all the disinfection measures were taken, I washed with all kinds of substances and even the shoes were protected with plastic.

I no longer tell what I suffered there. As a consolation, the young lady doctor is very nice. I resumed the car ride. On a large boulevard that ends in the most famous construction in Bucharest, Romania. A colossus, the second building in the world by volume (the first is the Pentagon).

A new crop to bring you closer.

Finally, this walk is nearing the end. I took fewer pictures from the car, just a few to show the empty streets of people. Only cars. Images from Bucharest, March 2020.

When I see the almost deserted city I have the feeling that it is an SF movie. I have seen many films showing the world after a pandemic that killed almost all people. I always considered that it was the imagination of the writers. Unfortunately now I begin to realize that it is not really impossible to happen!

It is now the need to erase the pessimism and unpleasant sensation of fear. With a flower!
