Q# is a quantum programming language pronounced as 'Q sharp' introduced by Microsoft in December 2017.

As Quantum Computing is entirely different from traditional computing so obviously programs written in this language can't be directly executed on current binary systems. So the development kit comes with a simulator to run these programs. Support for this kit has already been embedded in Microsoft Visual Studio IDE.

Last week Microsoft added the support for Linux, MAC and interoperability with Python. They uploaded their libraries under open-source category to fully support the development in this particular field.
