What the hell is this!?
Here recently I posted an article about the things I saw while I was doing chores and maintenance around the house.
While cleaning up the driveway with my chainsaw and other cutting tools, I noticed a bud on one of the vines that I was trying to cut down. The picture above is what I saw that day.
I wondered what in the world could this be? The vines that it's attached to are like a python strangling it's prey. What in the hell is this thing I asked myself!
Well, today I was making good use of the perfect weather and was trying to get much needed chores done around the house before it gets any warmer or "wilder".
My ass is about kicked as I write this. But I have cleaned up a ton of vines, limbs and debris today. I have bucked felled trees and stacked wood...I'm about dead, let me tell ya!
But one thing that I noticed while on "mission clean house" is that the bud that I took a picture of the other day has bloomed!
Is this lavender???
Such a beautiful and useful plant is strangling my trees? I don't know exactly, that's why I'm asking you guys.
During "operation clean up", I saved what ever these are from all kinds of thorns, vines, weeds and whatever else I cut down. I took one fallen soldier with me and made a picture before throwing it to the rabbits that will get it later.
Thanks for checking out my blog, I'm beat and going to bed now. @bluelightbandit

Ohhh... I am pretty sure that is wysteria!! It can be trained to behave more like a tree. Smells HEAVENLY!!! right?
Lavendar is a tiny, twiggy little shrub.
And the pink blossom is a rhododendron, or maybe an azalea. I think.
I concur, @fishyculture! Wisteria. Not sure of the other either. I need to see more of the flowering bush/tree/plant.
I think it's wisteria too. :)
Vine that loves to climb.
Yep, and as much as you might hate that vine how can you not just collapse in bliss under those flowers!
Yep. The bit of leaf I see looks like a rhododendron, but the blossom looks more like an azalea to me.
Thanks for the answer @fishyculture, you sure do know your stuff! And according to Mrs. Bandit, you are also correct with the Azalea! The purple one does smell really nice!
:) I am the hack in my family, my mother was a walking plant encyclopedia. My three sisters are all "Master Gardeners."
I think it's wisteria @bluelightbandit.
It should be quite fragrant. Did you smell it?
I feel ya bro.... I pressure washed the back of my house which took a few hours after I push mowed the yard. I was so tired that I went to bed at 8pm on a Saturday and slept the entire night through.
