#ulography: #17 - Tree Tuesday @ Brickyard Alley
This tree is living in the patio area of a local bar and grill called Brickyard Alley. My friends and I went here for lunch today after our usual Tuesday morning line dance class.
I was thinking about Tree Tuesday on the way to class this morning and when I saw this tree, all decorated up with the twinkle lights, and surrounded by flowers, I just had to showcase it in today's post.
I think it is so cool the way the owners left it in its own corner and built the patio around it. I'm sure it would have been simpler to just remove it, and have more room, for their patrons, than it was to save it. But not only did they save it, but they also incorporated it into the decor and made it a little spot of nature in the otherwise concrete wasteland.
Today wasn't a nature walk with pictures of wide open space with beautiful trees. Instead, it is meant to show how nature can still be a part of the most commercial locations as well. I want to come back at night so I can see how pretty it is all lit up with the twinkle lights. Kudos to the owners of Brickyard Alley for leaving this sentinel of nature in the middle of their Brickyard!
