SteemPower sucks
Hi friends,
the good thing on #steem is the presence of very good artists. I want to support a lot of them.
For newbies on steem (like me) it is confusing enough to have 2 currencies, steem and steem dollars. But there is another aspect, steem power. We all have learned it is good to have a lot of this. But why?
You need at this moment 100 SP to upvote a really good post with... 1 cent? Bitch please... really?
To get 100 SP today you have to invest 180 USD. Or you can "rent" 100 SP for 90 days at blocktrades.us for 15 USD. Not to forget, this is all to upvote with 1 (one! ONE!) cent...
Maybe its better to buy some upvotes from @minnowbooster or @smartmarket or other upvote services to support the artists instead of pumping money into steem to get SP.

I would advise that you don't do this. Most of the time, you'll see a negative ROI from bots, so unless you're buying votes in the hope that others will then see your content and vote too, it's pointless.
SP is a fantastic thing. Sure, the market is at a low at the moment, but it's a great time to add to your portfolio if you can before the next increase in price.
You can also generate your own SP without investing any money by creating great content and powering up any of the rewards you receive from other users.
Thank you for the answer @philnewton. I do not reject SP generally, but I think the bar is set to high. Newbies have no chance to support posts of others and to collect relevant own SP they need a very long time.
Well, it took me about a year and a half, also SP starts to accumulate faster the more you have it. The problem is that support has many faces, not just always an upvote but also leaving meaningful comments. Not just a picture with a prefabricated comment, just FYI it’s kind of spammy.
Thanks @fukako. Maybe my little dragon pictures in the comments seem to be spam for somebody. But I am a cartoonist and I draw this pictures and they are meant seriously. Why not use it.
well, how am I supposed to know that you are a cartoonist if you don't even write that! I love comics, but your picture really looks like something usual spam suspects leave :)
