Meet the new Steemit Chrome + Firefox browser extension!
Do you sometimes wish that all the advanced functions on Steemdb.com, Steemd.com, SteemStats.com and SteemNow.com were an integral part of Steemit?
Well, @armandocat has developed the closest thing to that - a Steemit Chrome and FireFox extension called Steemit More Info which enhances the user experience of Steemit.
Features
- In the account of any Steemian, you will see how much money(Steem Dollar) that their 100% upvote will give
- When browsing the account of others, you will see the total number of upvotes they have done for the day
- It allows you to see how much every person who upvoted your post contribited inn terms of Steem Dollars
- It allows you to see the total amount in Steem Dollars that the upvote of people gave to any upvoted comment
- There are many other features!

Installation
Unfortunately, its not yet uploaded to Firefox plugin store or the Google Chrome store yet so users will have to manually install it.
- First download it here
- Extra the file from the Zip archive
- Open
chrome://extensions
in Chrome and drag and drop the root folder there - Open
about:debugging
in FireFox, click "Load Temporary Add-on" and add it there
It is expected that the extension will soon be added to Chrome Store and FireFox plugin store to automate the installation process.
Security
Since it is not upload to Google's Chrome Store or Firefox plugin store, there is not way to know by reviews if the plugin does anything suspicious.
According to the developer, the sources code was made available on GitHub so everyone could review it for themselves.
Also, the author promises that it cannot look up the private keys of any Steemit account.
The only word we can rely on is that of one Steemian commentator who reviewed the code and said there was nothing suspicious about the current version.
Users are advised to use the plugin with due diligence.
Development
Future developments are planned including new an advanced follower page, a notifications function, graphical stats and more.

Thanks @blockrush, but you could have just resteem by post.
There is also some discussion going on in the comments.
I advise people to go and have a look there, where there are also people inspecting the code.
Please go on the official page of the extension

Cool, like to test this but wait for the official version. #GermansDontTrust ;-)
In case it helps you, I did a thorough analysis of the code and everything is looking good. You don't have to log in to use it so it can't even access your Steem data (only the public data that other apps like steemdb.com can access too). All the code in the extension does is fetch some of that public data and put it on your screen :)
That is a useful info about the product and it's security. Thanks for your work, will try it on one machine.
This is an awesome upgrade, I will have to get on it!! Thanks for sharing.
This great to see! Thank you very much for sharing and bringing to my attention. Resteemed and tweeted too! STEEM ON!

thank you @virtualgrowth
Maybe an independent security audit is due? Also making your source code open source would be well advised in this community.
My mistake I see the github repo now.
