LIVESTOCK (al-An’am)

I have decided to study The Quran. This is for #discussion open to all regardless of religious views. Please contribute respectively to the dialogue. I have seen how extreme and disrespectful people can become when given a chance to hold meaningful dialogue about such topics. I am not here to interpret The Quran but gain knowledge, understanding and other’s point of view. I would like to hear anyone's interpretation and analogy of these verses if it remains respectful towards the religion. I will not post a Surah (chapter) until I have read it and have something meaningful and a personal take on it to contribute to the discussion. I will not post a Surah in my post rather if I speak on a certain verse I will mention the verse I am referring to. I am currently studying The Quran and Hadiths. The Hadiths were compiled by Imām al-Bukhārī.

Write about the chapter: This sura opens up similar to Genesis in the Bible. I am not comparing them as in the whole sura will be like Genesis. It just opens up that way. It describes civilizations that were around and generations of people that have been and gone. Some of those people were destroyed for their sins.
The knowledge of the people that were destroyed also took their knowledge with them. We are now probably learning thing that they already knew. It is to much to conceive.

After we die The Quran teaches us that there will be a Day of Judgement.
Reading more into the sura it strikes me that Allah or an Angel is telling the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) how to speak to his people. According to (6:39) the unbelievers will be like blind and deaf people on the day of resurrection. Sura (6:60) states that Allah(or angels) takes us in sleep and keeps watch while we’re awake. Abraham(pbuh) father was a non-believer and use to worship idols. Abraham(pbuh) was among the monotheist.
A good muslim believes in the hereafter and is dedicated to there prayer.

(6:101) Originator of the heavens and the earth— how can He have a son when He never had a companion? He created all things, and He has knowledge of all things.

I would say that this is one of the many controversy of The Quran as in regard to Christianity.

(6:108) Do not insult those they call upon besides Allah, lest they insult Allah out of hostility and ignorance. We made attractive to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them of what they used to do.

I believe this ayah is saying not to belittle someone else’s religion or talk bad about a polytheist beliefs because they may do the same to your religion.
Remember, to pronounce God’s name over your food before you eat or it is forbidden food. In the day of judgement the wrong-doers will be so ashamed that they turn away from Allah and prefer the fire instead.
The Quran teaches Muslims not to kill their children.
