Does a bot have good character?
Good character is a human like quality. So how could a bot have good character? The real question is does the bot owner have good character? I would hope so. Good character is telling the truth, showing respect and being fair.
I have been using a few bots with the help of Steem Upvote Bot Tracker and they are fair. This tracker allows the bots to be truthful.
If a bidder bids on the bot and cause an over bid then everyone would lose money! The bot owner is not the blame for this. The steemian paying for the service is either unaware that this tool and more like it exists or they don’t understand the damage they are causing. The steemian causing this despair is not showing respect to the tools available to prevent this from happening. It also causes people who lost money due this to feel some type of harm done to them from the service and may not want to use it anymore. They may also start to believe the bot is a bad thing from this experience.
A bot owner with good character would eventually come up with a solution to this specific issue because it can also lead to sabotage in the hopes to cause the bot to lose some paying customers. This solution is not easy to find I believe so it could take time if not already found.
The Steem Upvote Bot Tracker was even causing some bot owners to lose money. After, explaining how it was happening a resolution was called for. That issue I’ve heard has been cleared up since then. The resolution shows good character on both sides because they want the bots to be used fairly.
I would say in a perfect utopia everyone on steemit has a life outside of steemit. No brainer, right? We all have basic needs and goals. A goal is something you work towards. There are 3 reasons why I set goals:
1. It gives me something to work for.
2. It helps me judge my progress and gauge if the goal I set is realistic.
3. It helps me become a better person by staying the course.
Now back to those bots.
Well let’s talk about a person that use bots. I am pro bot and a bot user, so I can speak from a personal perspective. I have high self-respect for myself and what I engage in. I am an invested steemian, when I came to steemit a couple of months back it was an exciting time for me. I jumped in head first!
I had never blogged before in life at the level that I do today. I feel like a very special person for the effort I put into it and how serious I take it. I know others who feel the same way about steemit.
I love myself, but I am not a selfish person
The bots are like a slot machine to the gamblerIt is like a mysterious life-like force to the scientist.
It’s a new equation to the mathematician.
It is a wonderful thing!
I hear people give different opinions about bots, but I really feel it is the opinion that should be held against the bot owner. They have a right to feel like they want but not to hurt or discourage others. Steemians should have the right to make responsible decisions in a free-market. Steemians should have the right to make responsible decisions as consumers on their own. That is their self-respect to not be wronged, bullied or financially harmed for deciding to be an active Steemian. Do this make any sense to you?
