MakerDAO Dappyfunds BEN
At the start of Prague Blockchain Week (Oct 26 - Nov 2), right after the Status Hackathon and before DevCon, MakerDAO hosted a fundraiser for the Blockchain Education Network.
QR codes were set up at the bar and people had to pay 1 DAI for 1 drink. Dai is a stablecoin produced by MakerDAO that is normally pegged to the value of $1. But in our case, Dai was pegged to the value of 1 drink! BEN was stationed as volunteers to help people download their first wallet and make sure they had enough gas.
We facilitated 160+ transactions over the night, totaling 520 Dai! We used a Crypto Wishing Well (pictured above) to display the Dai balance in large bold letters. We also had LED lights set up that would flash whenever a new transaction came in! Not only did we bring crypto adoption to a boat but we had a little bit of fun with IoT as well.

I'm very much happy to see such progress from DAI and MKR. I hope this trading competition (https://news.kucoin.com/en/dai-dai-trading-competition-win-182-mkr/) may help them get the attention they deserve from the people in the market
Of course the competition has a big factor for DAI marketing and Kucoin has completed the distribution of DAI rewards
