Microsoft is reportedly interested in buying TikTok businesses in the United States. When viewed from the business side of Microsoft, the TikTok model is very different from the company made by Bill Gates.

However, reported by The Verge, Friday (7/8), the user data owned by TikTok made Microsoft interested in acquiring the TikTok business. It could be that, if this plan goes smoothly, later TikTok user data can help develop a number of software and hardware in the future.

Not only in the US, Microsoft is also looking to buy TikTok businesses in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It is also possible that Microsoft will offer other American investors to be involved in the acquisition.

As is well known, rumors are related outside that ByteDance, the owner of TikTok, has set a dowry of USD 50 billion or IDR 725 trillion for investors.

What is clear is that the news of the TikTok acquisition was welcomed by investors with the increase in Microsoft's share price. But it's certainly not as easy as a palm for Microsoft to control TikTok and still make it successful.

Microsoft's major past acquisitions have proved unsuccessful. Call it Skype, which is now in decline or the Nokia cellphone division which has finally closed. But, what will happen with TikTok if it becomes Microsoft's hand? Just wait.
