The invisible menace.

The biggest accomplishment man has is what he possesses. There was a tale of an old woman and her youngest son. The woman hysterically mourned the death of her son, he left way too young. The son was only 80 years old and not even close to his youth. A passerby asked her why was she so devastated and she replied she had lost her child at the ripe age of 80. During those times human hit youth at the age of 300 and lived for more than 10 centuries, so it was truly sad to die at just 80.

The passerby conforted her. He told her of a time to come where man would exist for their entire lives and wouldn't even pass 80. The mother was shocked but keenly asked if they'd live normally. The passerby positively replied and told her they'd build tall skyscrapers that'd touch the sky and they'd live among the clouds. She scoffed and said why would they want to live like that for a life of merely 80 years, in her times they'd pass by 80 years just laying down in the shade of a tree.

Today, man has become super accomplished. Our ancestors surely lived longer years, but our generations feel like they have achieved way more in the tiny lifetime. Maybe it all makes sense. Afterall, why would you want to live longer when you akready have made the most of your time and accomplished so much.

Architecture, engineering, health, science, quality of life, understanding, human rights, everything is at it's peak and human as a species hasn't been better than now.

Alas, we often tend to get way over our heads. I wonder if anyone fighting for rolls of toilet paper has thought about the refugees on their borders escaping blood red, war struck countries. I wonder if those who boasted of their top tier superior genes think about the dark toned doctor helping them. I wonder if those who have built amassed the world's wealths now think about how they've lived their lives. I wonder how many believers and atheists have friends. I wonder if humans finally realise how fragile we are. So fragile that the wind that we contaminated now has put us on our knees.

Now that the Fallout game feels so real, and the we need a new plague memes feel like a prophecy, I wonder if things will change. Those who once bragged about their borders and armies are now shutting them down and shivering themselves. The real threat is something you can't even see with your eyes. I hope it does bring some change. I hope it shows all of us whats really important in life and maybe, just maybe, we did go overboard with our egos. Maybe once again nature will run its course and show us humanity stands above all, but not humans.
