Hitting the sweet-spot!

I have always been a fan of beverages ever since I stumbled upon the P.F.Changs's Sunday Secret drink in the Dubai Mall branch. The weird combination of ingredients that brough about a pleasasnt explosion of flavors really intrigued me.

Since then, I have moved to Ukraine from Dubai and always been on a hunt to find the mysterious combos that would bring joy to my pallate.

That being said, I was never a fan of weird coffee mixes. I love the taste adn boost of a clean espresso and do not enjoy the weirdness mixed with coffee. However, that never stopped me from trying something new and testing my boundaries.

In this post I will share a nice little not-so well-knowplace in Kharkiv, Ukraine. It just opened recently and has been gaining some momentum due to it's consistent quality. It has also become my go-to for a relaxing cup of espresso.

The attraction of thisplace is sewn into it's interior and how well maintained it is. The color scheme and interior deco is super relaxing and always feels like the ight place to hangout in after a long day of work.

The single seater tables facing the main-road is of course my favorite spot. The nice cup of coffee, the soft colors of the interior, the comfortable furnitures, the subtle lighting,he beautiful music and the busy road is the perfect recipe to enjoy the peaceful blissful p\moment as other rush to whatever they are doing.

The do have a wider range to provide than just coffee. They have a nice collection of confectionary and baked items that compliment each of their drinks. I once tried the "orange espresso" and let me tell you it further strengthened my love for clean espressos. That, however, didn't stop me from trying more mixes of espressos.

There are two reasons I love this place. One, because of the environment. Two, because of their quality control. Each item is made fresh, except of the prepacked coffee beans. The other ingredients are bought daily from the market. They even squish the orange right in front of your eyes. I wish I never ordered that orange espresso. Someone is a fan of that drink, just not me.

So what did I order this time around?

Not the orange espresso, of course. I tried a new addition on the menyu - cacao espresso. A little sneak peak is in the cover picture.

Basically it is a blend of chocolate(caco), milk and espresso. I wasn't sure if would be sweet or wether I would like it at all. The barista ensured me it was something I would order again as he knows my taste very well now.

Here is what it looked like:

The heart is of course my go-to. Sometimes I go for the swan but since it was made with love I asked specifically for the heart.

The thing about cacao is that it can be both foamy or smooth. I was very closely looking for how the cacao and espresso mix. Didn't look bad, but had a little bit of foam on the top. So does it mean that they don't blend well and the top layer is mostly cacao with a thin layer of espresso in the bottom?

They have a n outdoor seating arrangement by the back and since the weather was super nice so I decided to go there and try the new drink.

The barista was right, I owuld certainly order this again. Somehow, the blend was perfect. The foam was not too much, just milk and cacao. After you pass through that it is a nice mix of cacao and espresso. Not too sweet, but the cacao takes over the aroma of the coffee. Other than that, the taste sticks pretty close to espresso, with a hint of cacao flavor coming from the aroma.

I am fan of this drink and I think many will love it. It is going to be on the official meny very soon and I am for sure ordering this more often. Just not everytime. Espresso is the way.
