Ever since the first man stepped on earth all he wanted was more. We, humans, are just a deep never ending hole that doesn't get fulfilled. Our hearts carry a gaping bottomless space, the more we put in the more it wants. It isn't just about wanting, sometimes it's bigger than that.

As time has passed, humans have evolved. We have slowly dived into departing ourselves from primitive and animal like behavior. We have evolved so far high up the chain that the chains connecting us to our animal instincts have begun to fade. The strongest instinct that still remains is the gaping hole in our hearts. Anywhere from being materialistic possession to the toxic facade we put up on social media, all of it feeds the emptiness within our souls to never be filled.

I believe once we have realised that greed is surely one if the most common traits among each other, and the most primitive, it becomes easier to find things that are more important and things that could help us get better. Things underlying, and things remedial - gratitude.
Being happy about what you have and had is the key to living a more streamlined life and finding success. A life as happy and complete like that of Diogenes.

A key construct of the soul that makes us human, taking us away from animals, is empathy. It helps you not only to see from others perspective, but it also let's you evaluate all the good things you have. Being thankful for the tiniest things like the sunset make you more positive. Which in turn helps you throw away the baggage of negativity you carry on your shoulders and lets you focus and be more productive, with a clearer head.

I don't understand negative people, or people who just like to complain. How do they benefit from it? How can they ever feel happy? Is it worth wasting their time on the negativity or enjoying the pure form of peace in their soul? How cn they do any work or aspire to do something new or big? Just be thankful, and your world will be brighter and colorful.
