Did social media give us freedom of speech or take it away?

Its a very sensitive topic, but one that everyone has. Especially if you are on social media for more than just likes.
If you have even a tiny thing you are passionate about then you have thought about the freedom of speech on social media.

Alot can be expressed through social media and its reach.
Although censorship of good and evil both exist, I still tend to think there is a platform among social medias that allow us to practice the freedom.

What are your thoughts on it?

I think I am trying to say something in the lines of there wouldnt be a coin toss without the coin..
