Rubbing Elbows with the Stars

Sometimes life affords you some really amazing opportunities and experiences. Not long ago I got to check something off the bucket list which was to Produce and Assistant Direct not one but two features! This feat moved me one step closer to a dream of mine which is to Direct a feature film.

I was fortunate enough to work with my dear friend Chris Hood @chood on both films. These pics are just a few I love from our time on Dirty Dealing. I'm going to do a detailed write up on this in the future but for now I hope you enjoy this little teaser.

I specifically remember this day like it was yesterday. We were shooting in a killer office with C. Thomas Howell and Michael Madsen. In the film, Madsen plays a Casino owner and Howell plays his number 2. The office that we shot this scene in had frosted windows by remote and the long conference table's frame that you kind of see here, was actually an old airplane from the 1930's or something. It was awesome!

In between takes we would tell stories and go over lines and shots. This was also the first day we had the B Cam in action. Panasonic heard we were shooting a feature on their new 3dA1 and were super awesome and lent us a second camera to use for the shoot...free of charge. I was operating the B cam next to our Director of Photography, Seo as you can see in the bottom photo. This ontop of making sure that the cast and crew were ready to go. It was a unique experience and I am grateful for the opportunity. Also super eager to get the next project rolling...
