The Diary Game #42: Share your day with us!

Hello friends, Happy weekend everyone . Talking about my best day, how I prepared my best soup and puting it into writing is what I will be doing. And I hope we are ready for the fun.😆

Morning(31/05/2023)

Waking up in the morning at exactly 7:02 am.
I really slept late yester night and now I have to wake up by this time of the day.

I prayed and step out of the house to go view as people were rushing to work and school, some driving and others opening their shops to begin the day. It feels good to me watching others getting busy, most times I do go out like I am heading for an important thing only to stand staring at people and if anyone I know walks up to me and ask, I will act like I'm waiting for someone.

Do not ask me why I did that for I was literally escaping from doing any house chores in the morning like I'm so lazy this morning..😁

Afternoon

I actually stayed till 12 in the afternoon. Went from shop of my friends I knew in the streets, discussing and laughing . Aside school and work I am such a bored person.!
And today I just could not wrap my fingers on deciding to go to work since I did not have any lectures today and at the same time I did not want to be seen at home to avoid errands. Such a weekend right? For relaxing.

And when I came back, everywhere was so dried, thank goodness they kept key for me. Now the house was silent. I took time in first taking my bath and then I took my ATM and off to the market I have to take my self for a treat right?

And here brings me to me trying out my cooking skills. I actually did not have any plans of cooking soup, first I wanted preparing spaghetti because I have been craving for it for some time. Secondly, I wanted eating shawarma at the same time. You see what idleness can cause? You just want to eat everything.

As I stepped out, having spaghetti in mind and also withdrawing. Boom I saw a woman on top her head were basin of fresh fish. Trust me if I were with my phone I would have snapped her. My mind was like get one and use in making spaghetti since no one is around. Another of my mind was telling me just go buy spaghetti, don't use fresh fish.

Ladies and gents. I went for the fish. and plans changed. Do not forget that it is already past 2:00 am and I have not eat anything.
So instead of feeling like I have not satisfied my cravings, I bought noodles instead with bread and that was what I ate.
Slept off afterwards with the fresh fish inside fridge hoping for mum to come back whenever she want to so I could get my money and trade the fish . I no dey do again.
I wake up around past 3 pm. And gosh.. I'm so hungry.

Evening

The thought of my fish flashed in and I smile. And I set for making the soup for I have seen hunger !.
I start by washing off the already cut fish using hot water. And then I added my fresh pepper, onions, one seasoning cube and salt for steaming. Ha! did I tell you that after it boiled on top fire I changed mine that I wanted pepper-soup instead, to use with white rice? lols 😂

But the good girl in me would not. So I fried it using red oil, and added my chopped okra and oh my naked periwinkles and other ingredients afterwards I cover for some time and allow it to mixed properly.

And lastly, I added my slice vegetables and here we are my fresh fish was set to go into my tommy . At exactly past 5pm.
Now add to the list of one of my favorite food_ soup, fresh fish.

And having turn the gari. All thanks to mum and dad gari in the house is not an issue because we all have turn to be potential farmers.🙄😎
My soup was thick as there was no one at home to tell me the amount of water to put, what time to off the gas. I just did my things as the spirit leads. And I ate the poor fish satisfyingly.

I had a wonderful day well spent. My initials plans was to read but honestly I just glance at the book after eating and I zoom off to another sleep. Waking up shortly because of the noise, my people have comeback. I came out to have a fresh air and that is how the sky look like it gonna be raining and breeze is breezing. When they all tasted my soup, they were like wow Miss Chef of the house. I wish you all can have a taste. Next time I will add fresh paw crayfish, because it's their season.
