With the impending transfer of Neymar Jnr to PSG, the question on football lovers mind is should the French club sign the brazilian for a whooping 222 million Euros, it could change the future of football transfers forever.
Neymar Jnr is part of the famous MSN trident of FC Barcelona alongside Argentine Lionel Messi and Uruguayan Luis Suarez. They are regarded as the greatest attacking trio in the history of football.
The million dollar question is Neymar worth 222 million Euros? He's 25 years at the moment and currently the third best player in the world behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi. Yes he is supposed to take over from the incredible duo but the big picture is the future of mordern football.
What is the fate of small clubs around the world, clubs whose net worth is minute compared to the staggering amount the Paris club will pay for the crowned prince of modern football.
What is the use of the financial fair play(FFP) regulations if the deal goes ahead.As of writing this Neymar has been given the permission to miss training and is rumoured to be on his way to Paris.

The biggest clubs in the world simply have no regard for the FFP rules. The rules basically say that a club must prove that it can provide funds to cover its costs. The billionaire owners of PSG, Manchester City etc. can just put as much money as they want into the club and this helps them get around the rules.

I've said for a while that instead of FFP there should be an annual spending cap.
