Cooking made easy
Simple delicious asparagus. I know what your thinking, no way you can make those good without effort. Also, why is a carpenter writer etc etc talking about food? Well I love to cook, here's a quick easy summer side dish
Grab a bunch of asparagus
2 big ass scoops of butter
Orange juice
Salt and pepper.
Heat the pan, melt the butter, throw the asparagus in, cover, not drown in OJ, at a high medium... let the Oj Boil down, sprinkle in salt and pepper, as the sauce thickens roll those stalks around, sauce is getting thicker, stalks gets a little softer... Yeah. Probably takes 15 minutes from fridge to plate.
Wasn't so hard, tastes great. Pairs well with steak and potatoes.
I love to learn new dishes and this one seems very different :)
Find the sweet from the juice and the savory of the butter make it so nice, you forget you're eating sticks.
Sounds good. Will give it a try! Thanks for posting!
Nice and simple, but believe me, the orange/butter reduction is gold.
Loving the addition of OJ to it. :)
I use Tropicana without pulp. May suggest against concentrated OJ, I'm pretty sure concentrated OJ is a ingredient in Napalm... But that's for a different recipe blog altogether.
You could probably just go with half of a fresh squeeze orange too :)
In for a dime, in for a dozen, I'd suggest 2 juicy oranges per bunch.
Thanks for the suggestion. :)
No No, thank you, I forget Tropicana isn't a universal option.
Haha. :)
