What is Piracetam?

Piracetam is one of the many drugs that exist in the "racetam" family. It is known for controlling jerks and contractions of muscles. It serves as an effective nootropic and a quality replacement for the cognitive prescription that enhances medications. It also serves as an effective supplement for the purpose of improving memory skills.

It is believed that a variety of people can find many benefits of using Piracetam, but the effects are different for everyone. Some of the benefits of taking it include, more focus, better concentration, monitoring, stress management, sleep and more. This is a premium brain supplement, so Piracetam works to make users as efficient, productive and determined as possible. These results are noticeable in people's personal, romantic and professional lives.

Origin of Piracetam
In the 1950s and 1960s, scientists were very interested in neurotransmitters, chemicals that transmit signals through neurons. They were especially fascinated by the neurotransmitter GABA (gamma-amino-butyric acid). GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter. This means that it slows down the rate at which neurons fire, avoiding overstimulation.

Because GABA has a calming effect, Belgian pharmaceutical company UCB thought a GABA-derived drug would be a great sleeping pill. In 1964, Giurgea led the UCB team that developed this new drug, 2-oxo-1-pyrrolidine acetamide or Piracetam.

How does Piracetam work?
How Piracetam Works
There are a number of reasons why Piracetam could be such an effective smart drug.

1.Piracetam could bind to glutamate receptors and thus reduce levels of neurotransmitter glutamate in the brain, as well as glutamate / GABA ratio.

  1. In certain conditions, glutamate acts as a toxin and may be involved in neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease.

  2. It increases blood flow, which could explain why it helps people who have had strokes.

4.Piracetam could make the cell membranes more fluid, which allows the neurotransmitters to move from the neuron to the neuron more quickly.

  1. It facilitates the movement of information from one hemisphere of the brain to another, which could explain why the reaction times are accelerated.

  2. Protects brain cells from damage caused by low oxygen levels. It also appears to modulate protein synthesis, which is needed to form long-term memories.

7.Increases the production of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which plays an important role in learning and memory. Research in rats has shown that Piracetam reverses amnesia caused by scopolamine, which blocks acetylcholine receptors.
