A Solo, just for you
I remember when I was 16 years old and had in mind being a Soloist Guitarist, I asked myself: How to make a good solo? How to make a single that adheres to the song? One, that is part of it, that regardless of how many notes or expression techniques you have, you can sing and enjoy like the vocal melody.
After watching an episode of SOUTH PARK in which the DIO band played HOLY DIVER in a school dance, I immediately fell in love not only with their voice and their music, but with the GRAND solo that Vivian Campbell recorded in this song.
I became an inveterate fan of DIO and even more of Vivian, to see in many of his videos how he listened to the base of the song while his voice hummed his solo. And there, I found the answers to all my unknowns, for a long time I read and I heard that a GREAT guitarist soloist must be a GREAT rhythmic guitarist and that's the way it is!!!
With this "Philosophy" of Vivian I found the Holy Grail of how to be a Soloist Guitarist full of creativity, expression, good taste and sensitivity when creating a good solo, a single full of emotions that make the listener sigh and long for more! A single adhered to the song, a single that is more than an euphony, a caress to the heart and a kiss to the soul.
I hope you enjoy this small sample of a solo that I composed for a song that reaches my heart and gives peace to my soul! I do not consider it to be a solo as mentioned above, but I think that after so many attempts, the solo can be sing and be part of the song. The composer and author of the song my friend @malvarezmusic and you will judge whether that is a good solo or not. Of if it was a solo for this song ...
