CueTube Presents The Inaugural H2O Lounge Thursday Intermediate 8 Ball Tournament
Greetings My Esteemed Followers!
CueTube is proud to announce their return to hosting, tournament directing and streaming billiard events after a year hiatus after being in the business for a decade.
The inagural event kicked off relatively unannounced at The H2O Lounge on Whyte Avenue on Thursday January 4, 2018 at 7 pm.
Registration is open at 6 pm until 7 pm with play commencing at 7 pm sharp.
There were 9 players, 5 Gentlemen and 4 Ladies each paying the same entry fee of $9 plus $1 for the 8 on The Break Pot which now stands at $9 since nobody made the 8 on the break this week.
ERO tickets are available for purchase by tournament participants for $2 each, 8 tickets were purchased this week and the player drawn by Annie Fu, the owner of the H20 Lounge, by blind draw was David Westlin. Video of his ERO attempt for $66 is above.
Annie Fu, the H2O Lounge’ owner and billiard enthusiast has generously splashed the ERO pots up to $116, $50 and $50 respectively. 1 ticket will be drawn for every pot every week. You can be drawn for more than one pot per week.
This is a player development tournament that is open to players up to intermediate level as ranked by WVNEA, player list for local Edmonton Walmac VNEA players found here: https://www-walmac-net.filesusr.com/html/559ed9_b03fa8d2e323d53e740e51503cd5061a.html
Advanced and Master ranked players are welcome to come down and battle for the open public table but cannot compete in the tournament. I found out about the existence of the above list a little too late and an advanced player snuck in under the wire, my apologies folks, that won't happen again. All players will be checked against the list and may need to provide ID upon request.
First Place Winner: Frank Vidic $60
Second Place: David Westlin $21
