Every so often, Bangkok delivers an absolute gem of a sunset....and today was one of those days. It was almost post-apocalyptic in its beauty. Unfortunately, I only had my iPhone and not my good camera, and it caught me unawares.Yet, I still managed to snap this pic; A cosmic alignment of the moon, the humidity and just the right amount of toxic pollution molecules and particles come together in a jaw-dropping cacophony of pinkinsh-orange and purple hues.

The largest building you can see in the foreground to the right is the 69 story MET Condo Tower on Sathorn Road. The building behind it, and to the left is the recently completed Mahanakorn Tower, which is now the tallest building in Thailand at 77 floors and 315metres. It is the one that looks like a game of Jenga. You can see my post about the opening-night light-show extravaganza HERE.The other building of note is the one near the centre of the picture. This is the 4 conjoined buildings which make up Empire Tower. 52 separate elevators are required to serve this building which houses many international law, advertising and insurance firms.
