We all know that sleep is an important thing. Any mammal will lead you to nod off to dreamland. However, few people actually appreciate just how significant sleep is in our daily lives, and how much it contributes to our well-being. The truth is that lack of quality sleep is a primary cause of depression and fatigue, which are epidemic these days. Given the way technology and society have evolved over the last fifty years, many people don't even have 9 hours per night anymore and the trend is becoming more disturbing by the year.
The fewer hours you sleep, the more productive you are. That's what a lot of people think. They think 'I've got to burn the midnight oil because I need to get things done.' It's a common belief that if you're busy, you're a good person, and that you're able to get things done.
