UPDATE: I have just removed some of my Bitcoin Satoshies and moved them into STEEM. Since my experiences and trust with this project here have grown significantly I will participate as much as possible here and power up!

Since starting my investments in December 2017 it has been a real up and down. This is just normal if you look at statistics of the passed years, if your not used to this it can be pretty exhausting though.

I wanted to decide "wisely" based on my judgement of possible future adoption, well, at least I did mostly. Read what happened the other instances below...

I just took a fraction of our current deposits so it wouldn't really hurt too much. Well at least from my perspective. my wife truly thinks different.It took me some time to convince her that this is going to be a great investment. The key argument for her though was that I wanted to invest in cryptocurrency since I was really deeply interested in it.

One of the first things I did ingesting Hashflare CloudMining. This one I would assign to those youtubers that painted great pictures. I do own 12,95 TH/s of mining power as of today. But do not re-invest blindly. Since I am not sure about the perspective of Bitcoin Mining as +80% has been mined with continuous increasing difficulty, I have decided to extract the first possible payout of 0,05 BTC. This is part of the portfolio.

My reinvestment Strategy? After reaching my 0,05 target I will wait untill BTC reaches 14.000 USD once more and buy additional power from daily earnings. Until then I will extract once possible. Do not just reinvest independent of the Bitcoin price!

So here is my actual portfolio:

ETH / Ethereum

Well, I actually bought this (mentioned in other article) as transfer currency to buy altcoins. I kept it though since I believed in a hardfork to happen. Lucky I was as prices went up sharply and fork happened

BTC / Bitcoin

Kind of starting "drug" and "real thing" to begin with. My initial goal was to earn on BTC without actually buying it... Well this is a different story I will soon tell. Most of BTC comes out of my CloudMining contract for now.

XRP / Ripple

Yes, I confess I own Ripple. Why? I truly believe that their business model is very good and while it is obviously against the general principle of the original Bitcoin, I am influenced by "old economy" thinking and believe it will survive the cryptocurrency cleanup that will most likely happen over time.

XVG / Verge

Wow... I have to say, for this one I was influenced by various twitter feeds and I honestly did not do my homework before buying it. Honestly, it is deep in the red. I do like the fact that it aims at total anonymity, fast transactions and decentralized function. I am not fully convinced that it will be proven though.

Update I accumulated some XVG today since from my view the actual chart looks promising.

IOTA

I deeply believe in this concept. IOT just seems like a big hype but if you observe your environment I has already become reality. Being able to manage transactions between devices quickly at no charge seems great for this specific application.

XLM / Stellar Lumens

From my understanding this is kind of a comparable concept to Ripple, even if people will start to blame me for writing this. Partners are not so focussed on banks but the concept is to improve cross border money transfers. For me, same argument as XRP, nice connection between old an new world.

TRX / Tronix

I took that line from their website since it explains it well: It is a worldwide free content entertainment system with the blockchain and distributed storage technology. Based on my own business taking care about content and product information, this is very appealing to me, so it had to be in my portfolio.

POE / Po.et

Same as TRX but again little different, POE cares more about property of creative content and usage rights. With massive amounts of media assets this is a great aim for artists and creators. We know well how complex it is to create all these things so again, had to be in my portfolio.

NEO & GAS

Combining digital identities with smart contracts and assets NEO is supposed to create a smart economy. Sounds very appealing to me but I have to admit that I have to understand more what this can really mean for us. I was little puzzled once I transferred NEO to my Ledger Wallet and opened the NEO App since being able to create GAS an interesting option to create your own fuel for future transactions.

POWR

Tokenization of energy is absolutely interesting, this is why I had to get this in my portfolio. I also signed up for the WePower ICO to complete my portfolio in regards of energy tokens.

BAR / Titanium Blockchain

My first ICO really. This is the swiss army knife of ICO´s from my perspective. Being able to create virtual companies with entire stacks of software for all required use cases just sounds to great to miss out. Personally one component appealed me most: Virtual Mining Rigs. I will definitely try to get my hands on these once available.

By the way, BAR started trading on smaller exchanges during the last days, don't be upset, volumes are extremely low and prices volatile. Hold on till larger exchanges are adopting.

Oh, and nearly forgot, the "unwanted child..

DNT / district0x

Honestly, this is a mistakenly bought coin. I meant to by "Dragonchain DRGN" and totally messed up, it must have been a ticker mismatch or glas wine too much. Well, its now deep red but I am giving it a chance to recover.

There we are, this is my portfolio. I am happy so far since it is pretty diversified. Ethereum by far the biggest coin for now though followed by Titanium Blockchain. Once WePower ICO is up, this will be differentiated again.

For now I decided to hold most of this, I will let you know about my decisions.

Will I be successful? I am not sure, what I can say after one month of diving deep into crypto: I love it!
