Commit For 8 Days and change your life
Being on here I noticed a rather constant trend of people that end up leaving or giving up on earning here on steemit. To those people I say Commit to this for 8 days, every day you need to be doing these things and from there the rewards will fuel you to keep pushing on. What do I mean by this ?
Payouts on steemit as well as other communities are almost all 7 days. That means you wont see anything in your wallet for 7 days which for most people who seek instant gratification anymore become discouraged and leave.
What should you commit to for 8 days ?
1-3 High quality posts a day, I'm talking about 500 + word articles with unique pictures and on good topics.
Posting at least one high quality article on these communities SteemLEO, Palnet, Neoxian, SPT, Battle, Steemace etc. whatever the communities are that are of interest to you.
Seriously consider investing even $50 into your steem account. By investing a small amount it builds commitment to a program. If you expect stuff for free I have to tell you, you wont make it very far. This goes for ANYTHING in life. You need to expect to pay something and commit be it time or money. I have found money to be the ultimate motivator.
Leave high quality comments across each community. At the moment I currently do anywhere between 50 -250 depending on the day and work load. This builds followers and earns rewards. AGAIN HIGH QUALITY don't write some BS actually leave something of value and make it noticeable you read the article.
Leave an upvote on each article you do comment on, my leaving an upvote on someone elses post it builds a sense of community and support. Doing this for 7 days constantly they will start to notice you are an active reader and supporter. I take notice of this myself. You support me, I support you that simple.
Comment on my posts for extra rewards
I currently place top 50 in just about every community at the moment, some I am even top 5 and working on actually becoming the top investor in each of these. I do this from mining rewards and curation. My vote on your comment might only be $0.01 - $0.03 of steem however on the communities you are looking at anywhere from 10 - 200 tokens for your quality comment.
I like it man. I think I will make it a point to be more active around here. Gonna start posting more often try to network as much as possible because the community is depending on us.

Concerning comments, I completely agree. The period of time when I had my greatest success on Steem was when I was spending must of my time curating and commenting. I had already decided to go back to that.
I'm not sure I can pump out that many posts, my work schedule is pretty hectic. But thoughtful comments, that I can do...

If you also consider that at these prices, the ability to earn more Steem is even better now which should actually encourage users to not only remain consistent but also increase active engagement here for a better slice of the pie!

There is no doubt that interacting is the way to go. Even if you don’t post often, (like me :-(), commenting on people’s post puts you in mind and builds relationships. This helps out whenever you do post and after a while people become much more likely to respond.
When you respond to a response it says you care:-) People like it when you care. Even when they say they don’t.
I had let go of my commenting but am trying to get back into it. With all of these new communities it becomes much more profitable to participate! Even without profit it is just more satisfying.
This is great advice. After 8 days of posting consistently, you can start seeing the daily rewards, which does keep you going. It becomes kind of like a slot machine that keeps dinging and flashing bright lights.
I agree that we need to comment more quality comments. I like comments on my posts and appreciate them as much as I do the upvotes, especially when you can tell a person took the time to read your post.
I am familiar with PALNET. I never got any single upvote there despite my posts were not shitty. But what are the other communities for?
Hi @darthnava! About Palnet, yes you have received upvotes. For example, on your post from three days ago which had the "palnet" tag you currently have a pending payout of 0.148 PAL. You can see that if you use their interface palnet.io, or you can see ALL votes you receive for both Steem and Tribes in SteemPeak. Also, if you want to earn curation rewards on Palnet (or any other tribe - most of them have a 50/50 split), you need to stake the token, you have no PAL staked.

Yes, every once in a while people need to be reminded of commitment. And especially for newcomers, it's best not to have high expectations for the first payouts. Comments would be their best chance, but they don't have enough RCs by default for that. With a minimum of 50$ investment you talked about, their experience would certainly improve and they would be able to comment much more.
