Bought Another 2,000 Steem Last Night
With steem prices at near all time lows I am better on a turn around in the market at some point and thus decided to invest a bit more money again into steem.
Last night I picked up a little over 2,000 steem at around $0.23 each for a total cost fiat wise of about $500. Not to shabby for a coin that use to be priced at over $1 constantly. There are also a lot of changes coming to steem in what I hope to be the near future.
A hard fork which is causing a lot of talk and has a few items within it I do not agree with and hopefully some time this year the launch of SMT. I would LOVE to hear a estimated etc on SMT from the development team at some point.
With all of that being said this now pushes me far over my goal of 50,000 steem by July of this year. Now not all of that is in steem power itself. Over 10,000 steem is inside of steem-engine at the moment as I build up my stake in those communities and looking out for future communities.
Now while I don't have all that much confidence in steem as a business I do have hopes that they are finally getting their act together and will start to develop and push items again. We are however nearly into August and I have to say not to much has been done as of yet beside posting ads on the site and collecting even more money. But let us all hope that starts to change here in the 2nd half of the year.
That sound like smart move , I sure the price will get up soon.
Check out #spud4 that plan for August 1

Should be I hope lol it is down to where it was 2 years ago before the rally. Now that hopefully some development is being done and they competition VOICE looks like crap lol
It is also amazing to see the amount of Steem that is to be made in the communities in steem engine. Honestly...this summer is the fastest I have ever collected Steem, and then I am not even talking about buying (I got some in the last 0.22 rally). So yes, the moment to build is in alt-winter indeed..
the current steemInc news on smt is great but as in Holland we call it a zoethoudertje (sweetholder...give the kid some suger to keep em quiet)...we need actions!
It seems that everyone is buying STEEM this week :-D Definitely a sign that we are putting in a bottom. If we can get STEEM listed on more exchanges and create even better use cases then it will have nowhere to go but up.
334 million tokens circulating but only 100 million or so liquid STEEM. Ranked at number 72 we need to really push for more network adoption. New user interfaces are definitely a must!
other than Openledger much of US can't buy Steem.
Yes blocktrades and Metal pay exist but aren't market book exchanges which don't relfect on the price...
The real big kicker is it is being delisted from Binance for USA customers that opens up a lot of questions for me and might end up keeping the price of steem very low.
Pretty much. Openledger is the last place to buy Steem for US users aka us :P
In fact much of altcoin traffic is 30% US users so...
factor that in :(
Where did you get this information from because that isnt true. You can buy it from Poloniex and from Bittrex.
Poloniex and Bittrex announced full KYC and more coin delistings of altcoins on their exchange.
Of which many predict more than 80% of coins there.
Plus if you are in NY double blocking as you can't use it those there(now/soon).
As Steem is not on Coinbase nor Kraken the chances of it lasting on those exchange are slim to none.
Poloniex is also a shit exchange so using it is like 0.
Bittrex while better is getting worse and worse and in some reports are getting lawsuits against the :(
While I not saying Steem will be 100% gone from there, there no big money lobbying it to protect it. Steemit inc could but I not counting on them :(
We still have more time before we have to move assets from their overseas site to their US based site which is launching soon. I don't see why they wont have STEEM listed on the new site...
US based site will be pretty limited ie look at their other exchanges.
While I not saying Steem will be 100% gone from there, there no big money lobbying it to protect it. Steemit inc could but I not counting on them :(
I am looking at another entry point lower. I bought a couple thousands STEEM at .28.
I want to jump in if we see the teens.
Lower is possible for sure if bitcoin gets hammered again back down to $7,500-$8,000 that most likely would put steem at about $0.15 - $0.18 the market cap on steem is stupid small. I seriously hope steemit uses some of their profits to buy back and maybe burn steem for the ad revenue being generated.
From what I hear, @bitcoinflood, Steemit is still selling. I read on here they moved another 800K this month.
I dont have anything verifiable myself but have little reason to doubt those who tend to watch that stuff.
They need to be more transparent with this stuff. They are the biggest reason steems price sucks if they continue to do this.

Ah @taskmaster4450? But the kind of panic and loss of faith and confidence going into the tens would bring!

Nice, great to hear @bitcoinflood! Enjoy your weekend!
Thank you! Hope you have a great weekend yourself
Hi
I agree that this is a great time to add to your Steem Investment. I have been buying chunks here and there. I don’t know where the bottom is but believe it’s somewhere down here. I am encouraged by efforts to cut costs and improve revenue and so I invest more.
I hope others follow your example and this drop stops and we see some appreciation in our price and for this project soon.
@bitcoinflood IKR? Development and making of new moves are the unstoppable features of Steem/Steemit, if only the team could be more public, informative and proactive with their strategy and daily moves.

This article and the thread have been so helpful. I am one of the founders of a totally new project, about to have a first launch -a soft launch- very soon, Global Crypto News (GCN). Our aim is FullRewards for decentralized writers. We are still in a phase of very early development gathering a few writers to initiate first phase... But, we have been studying the content market for long time. There are, though, so many details. These forums help so much!! We should start, probably, by thinking on what is more convenient for writers/contentcreators that also pushes up the price of the token!! Balance between those who produce and those who hodl our token!! Or else, like me, with Steem, I have been about to collect a nice amount of tokens, but, I am afraid price will not stop moving down. I tend to think this has to do with the side of production!! My bias!!
