We all see Neo is gaining popularity ( finally ) let's try to find what is happening.
First at the end of the month there is a Neo devcon in San Fransisco in conjunction with Microsoft where projects will compete to win prizes of up to $150,000.
Second there is a new ICO that is coming up called APEX built on NEO platform. Let's talk about it

Background

As you know me, I like to mention your privacy should be secretive, and only you can control it. In the next articles, I will post some videos how to keep your data safe as much as we can. APEX understood the problem from a different angle, your data is collected by giants society as Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Alibaba etc... and are sold to other company they are offering you to manage your outcoming data and get rewarded for this.

Your data is very important to the marketing system, it helps companies to know your customs habits, buying behavior, locations you are going to, in one world** everywhere**. i.e when you are looking for a trip to Barcelone even after you will close your webpage on some apps you will get prices and discount for a trip to Barcelone. The only issue is you don't know who is purchasing your data and what can they do with it.

Ecosystem

The target for this product is consumers, brands and partner.
This is a good product for companies who want to purchase rich and accurate data, to target the customers at lower fees and proposing customers a better service with fewer spams.
Using deep learning libraries the transactions will be optimized, and data analytics more accurate.
Consumers will receive CPXs (APEX Tokens) for all the data they want to share, the brands on the other side will offer some cash, discounts, coupons able to be bought with the CPX tokens. To redeem the cash there will be centralized escrow taking 5% fees for all transactions. The rewards will depend on the locations market dynamics

The company is already existing it's called Chinapex and known as a customer data technology and an AI company. Ranked number 19 for the Top Big Data technologies in China.

My opinion

  1. It doesn't solve the issue we are facing today unless we are using their apps.
  2. Second, you have to trust the APEX company that you will decide to which company you are interested to send your data, and won't keep it. They said the system was decentralized except the escrow protocol to redeem money.
  3. It is already an existing company so there are fewer surprises the project won't exist
  4. It seems they have a strong marketing team, and backed up by Alibaba (like Tron)
