Tips to avoid Blind Spot while driving
Friends of Steemians may have experienced it, where while driving a car suddenly there are vehicles that precede us. Whereas before we've seen through the rearview mirror do not see any other vehicles behind. Surely we are very surprised at that time. Not infrequently mutter to heart.
Friends of Steemians, the condition we are experiencing is called blind spot.
Initially, I myself do not understand what is meant by blind spot. After trying to browse the internet, I finally got the answer and understood.
From many sites I read, it can be concluded that Blind Spot is the area around us that can not be seen while driving. This could be due to the limitation of the view mirror/rearview mirror or because obstructed by the pillars of the construction of the car or also because of goods/cargo that we carry.
Blind Spot on vehicles "Long Vehicle", like a tanker carrying Fuel, etc, more than any other small vehicle type.
The area around the fuel tanker truck or the like has many blind spots not seen by the driver.
Under normal circumstances a tank truck or the like will run on the left, and the right-hand side of the car is the most dominant area or vice versa, since it is the area with the most blind spots.
For truck or trailer type vehicles, there is a very easy way of knowing whether we are at the blind or not, the Friends of Seeemians, by looking at the rearview mirror in front of our vehicle.
If we can see our faces as drivers in the rearview mirror, then we are not in the blind spot area. On the contrary, if we can not see our faces driver meobil tank, then we can be sure we are in the blind spot area.
Well, what if driving a car type sedan and minibus? Consider the following illustration:
Suppose we are blue car drivers. The yellow area is an area that can be seen by the three rearview mirrors usually found in cars. If we look, the green car will easily be seen, either by the rearview mirror to the left or the middle mirror. Another case with a red car that is only seen slightly by the right rearview mirror.
Here are some tips if driving near a tank truck or other long vehicle:
- Do not cut the road right in front of the tank car.
- Stay away from the blind area of the tank car.
- Keep the distance of your vehicle with the tank car.
- Avoid using a mobile phone while driving.
- No one to look back to make sure there are no other vehicles, although the rearview mirror is not elsewhere.
So are some driving tips that I think might be our common guidelines.
