Kinda a photo fail
As i was, few months ago, teasing @soyrosa about the weather in her through dirty train windows series, it all got back to me so our summer is 3 days of rain 1 day of sun... As there is a possibility of fungus starting to grow on me, it is not bad weather for sunset photography. My only problem is i have lack of interesting stuff to add to the sunsets. In thinking what to shoot i remembered that there is a fish pond not far from me. It is kinda in the road to nowhere so i passed it just few times and i know i seen beautiful sunset once.
Seeing a beautiful sunset and getting a great photo of it not the same thing.
The clouds were looking promising so i decided to give it a go.
As i got to it clouds were looking good stil, but i realized i can't get close enough to it. My 85mm was not enough zoom to photograph from a high point, and if i go closer i am almost below the pond.

I tried to incorporate some foreground elements but that was also tricky as the wind was blowing so the compromise of motion blur was focal length blur.

The pond has some kind of vegetation on it so it looks a bit to sharp for a water shot.

Then the sun went behind one big cloud and that was that for a sunset.

The sunset was decent but i struggled with composition of everything else in the shot. So it is not a catastrophic fail, but it is nothing spectacular.
Any ideas of what could be done to get a better shot?
